Mrs. Hansa Roy writes:
Three
dogs eating in a row.
Tommy in the foreground.
Tiger in the middle.
Kali in the background.
So... what is the story?
This is one of the locations that has been a success of the Animal Birth
Control program.
Twice over...
Since March,2009...the area has been under my care.
After the original pack of fifteen dogs completed their life span( all
spay-neutered, and vaccinated against rabies),in and around 2020,a new pack of
seven moved in from the nearby area.
And they also were spay-neutered...and these three , Tommy,Tiger, Kali remain
from that pack....
This is how an effective ABC program runs where the aim is welfare of the
community of humans and dogs.
Animal Birth Control program is not about filling the pockets.
I had named these three as a remembrance of the five stray dogs that we had as
our playmates in Jawlakhel, Kathmandu. I was five or six. They were
Tommy,Tiger, Kalu, Kali and Bungay.
